This large scale project at Palm Beach, Sydney, involved extensive plastering on a 6 bedroom, 8 bathroom waterfront property. The focus was on achieving a flawless, contemporary finish, with a special emphasis on soundproofing and seamless integration of lighting and concealed speakers.

Our team began by evaluating the site and reviewing the architectural requirements, including the integration of suspended ceilings, recessed lighting, and concealed spaces for air conditioning, plumbing, and the installation of 60 concealed speakers. We ensured that every detail was meticulously planned for a seamless final result.
The project featured suspended ceilings throughout, using acoustic plasterboard (Gyprock) and framework. We applied Level 5 plaster finishing to all ceilings to minimise imperfections under both natural and artificial lighting. Dual layer 13mm acoustic plasterboard with visco-elastic material between the layers was used for soundproofing to reduce noise bouncing and echoing within rooms, enhancing both the acoustics and comfort of the space.
Four very large skylights were installed, requiring custom bulkhead framing to secure the linings in place. Metal framing was used to ensure the skylights were perfectly flush with the ceiling, maintaining a sleek and clean look.
We integrated 60 concealed speakers throughout the house and created hidden cavities to conceal all lighting and utilities. This included recessed downlights and hidden lighting track installations, ensuring a seamless, contemporary aesthetic. The lighting integration was planned early in the process to ensure the systems worked flawlessly and aligned perfectly with the design vision.
A P-50 (10mm) shadowline finish was applied at the ceiling to wall junctions, adding a modern, clean edge to the design. We also installed recessed blind tracks in the ceiling, aligned parallel, to provide a polished and refined finish throughout the house.
After completing all plastering, soundproofing, and lighting installations, a comprehensive final inspection was carried out. Our team ensured that all surfaces were flawless, all systems were operational, and the site was cleared of debris, leaving the space spotless and ready for the client’s final approval.
